Don't think the links are live yet - be up in 72 hours apparently.Anyhow - as per the Bannco site, statement they posted. On August 3rd, Bannco was issued a preliminary injunction by a USA court.During the preliminary injunction case, Bannco failed to post a legal opinion related to Chinese copyright ownership law that we believe caused the injunction to be granted. Chinese law is clear and ownership of the code in question will be challenged.Bannco maintains it never pirated Splitfish code. Chinese engineers contracted to do the work developed Banncos own code for Bannco's own controllers. Internally, the Bannco controllers are completely different than anything Splitfish had, however it appears that Splitfish may have incorporated Bannco technology into their new release of products. The internals will be examined once they are released.Since the preliminary injunction, Splitfish has done its best to have this news posted in every place possible along with press releases, web site postings, 2nd party press releases and legal opinions. The press campaign against Bannco does not mention the fact that it is only applicable to the United States and only pertains to one version of firmware in question. This is designed to further destroy Bannco before it has its say in the legal battles still ahead. This new firmware, driver and config software does not contain any of the code in dispute, it took time to have this new software developed by a seperate developement group.

Bannco products are still the best in the world and thats what matters most to gamers. Wasn't sure where to post this but my thread for somereason was closed with no explaination. Could someone pm explaining why or something:SI bought the FragnStein but I didn't like it. It was very inconsistent and I spent hours trying to configure it and I still couldn't get it to how I wanted it. I'm assuming I have a lot of interference in my room or something but no matter what I did, i couldn't get it to work how I wanted. In the end I just gave it back and I'm now looking for a wired mouse keyboard type deal. Please reopen my thread! I just thought asking which device was better in this thread would result in people recommending the FragnStein, seeing as it is a FragnStein thread and only people visiting this would be owners of that particular device.

Like going on an Xbox forum and asking whether they recommend Ps3Anyway, I'll copy and paste:Hola,Basically, I'm looking for a mouse keyboard combo for the playstation 3. I'm not a huge fan of playing fps's using my controller, so I'd like to buy one of these in hopes of improving my game. Any opinions are welcome and it would help me a lot in making my decisionThe following are my choices as far as I know and my reservations (Some maybe not being true):Fragfx - Think I can get this for around £35.

The build quality is a worry and whether I like the mouse.Rateup - I think I can get this for £45. A big advantage is that I can use my own PC mouse which I love. Only problem is, some people are saying that this isn't very smooth and inconsistent.Other devices that could be considered in the mix are, max shooter and splitfish piranha.Again, thanks for the help in advance.

In the end I just gave it back and I'm now looking for a wired mouse keyboard type deal. Please reopen my thread! Click to expand.Only thing i've heard of is eagle eye or something (link below)Alternatively - you could consider the Fragfx from Splitfish (soon to be known as fragfx Piranha - no sixaxis or fragfx barracuda with sixaxis) these will stop interferance issues. You just need to be aware of the poor build quality though - i had 3 in 6/7 mths - by that time i had enough with Splitfish, there poor quality products and lack of customer servicesMaxshooter and rateup look the same to me - never heard of either. Plus the one big advantage with the adapter is that I will be able to use my PC mouse which I'm more comfortable with.Max shooter is apparently the cheaper version of rateup but by another manufacturer. Rate up starts about £60ish but I think I'll be able to get hold of one for £45ish.However, I have never heard of the eagle eye adapter.

So the new question is, which do people recommand, Rateup or Eagle Eye. I'll research a little more on my side. Thanks Barry.

I assume that when you had your issues with the FnS in regards to interference that you changed the Wireless channels on the device??? I remember when i first got mine it didn't work properly - once i changed the channels using the firmware update software it was fine.In regards to the keyboard mouse setup only heard of XIM stuff - possibly what the Rateup & maxshooters (& Eagle eye) are??? Best advise if you decide not to get the fragfx is to get one of these - i would choose the one with the best reviews.

(had a quick look online and not seen many/if any positive reviews of either) The Wired fragfx is properly the best option it your only interested in these for FPS - just a shame that they are not built that great - could last years or could break within a year. The Fragfx is a great device when it works, wired so no connection issues, if mine didn't break several times i would properly still be using it.

(although i wouldn't go back now i've got the FnS - build quality is better by ten fold). Long time FragFX user here.Had a few problems with wires breaking etc. ( soldered them up), but overall I have found the FragFx to be good.Yesterday the buttons on the mouse stopped working so it looks like after aprox 2 years it's dead, not suprising after all the mouse bashing I do getting hammered on COD.After seeing all the praise for the FragNStein I have just ordered from Disco Azul. What I'm after guys are some tips for setting up before using it, and any advice on problems/workarounds particularly on COD.Thanks in advancePaul. Click to expand.2 years!!! You were lucky - i had 2 fragfx's where the mouse buttons stopped working within 6 months (average 3 mths each)Hopefully you'll like the FnS, it is slightly different, has acceleration, move mouse slow it turns quick, move it fast and it turns less - strange to explain and take a while to get used to.

Quality piece of kit thoughGo here to get the Firmware Update (latest one is fully customable, speed deadzones etc so no need for game specific firmwares anymore!) the window driver and the config software (firmware has 2 options normal and fast i think)Bewarned though this takes alot more fiddling with to setup than the fragfx but imho its worth it.Obviously everyone has there own prefered speed etc but as a starting point do the followingWe have now added a dead zone adjustment to the firmware. When you install this firmware you will add the function on the mouse to adjust the dead zone and the mouse sensitivity. We suggest that you first set your mouse to F0. F0 is the finest movements. To set your mouse to F0: Start your game and then pressing and hold the mouse F button. While holding the mouse F button roll the mouse wheel forward and back until the game just stops to roll to the right. That is F0 and F0 will be the most smooth for all games. While holding the mouse F button you can now push the mouse wheel to the left to lower the dead zone and to the right to increase the dead zone. There are 8 dead zone settings. The higher the dead zone is set, the faster the mouse will go.

We suggest you first press the mouse wheel to the left 8 times to set the dead zone to 0. Now adjust the video game's controller speed to a med to med high setting. Now you will notice that adjusting the dead zone to the right will increase the mouse speed. These are our suggested settings for all games:Mouse F1: (mouse sensitivity) = one mouse click forward from when the game starts to roll.Dead Zone: (mouse speed) DZ2 = Mouse Side wheel buttons two presses to the right.Video Game Speed: Controller set to med to med high. You will of course find the best settings according to your play style.I have mouse sensitivity at 3 clicks forward, in game at number 8 and deadzone 3 clicks right.

Click to expand.Nope - sounds like you got the Scorch config software not the FnS version - just checked mine and it deffo says PS3 - This is only used for remapping buttons really.

The mouse pad check is just to make sure that the pad works ok with the mouses lazer - if its in the green you should be fine (mines off the scale)Also - i would advise you to redownload the firmware and drivers too - if you downloaded the scorchs config you might of downloaded the wrong versions of the others tooWindows 32bit driverFnS firmware -FnS config. September 20, 2010: Sony PS3 Firmware upgrade 3.50 The new Sony PS3 3.50 Firmware upgrade has knocked out the FRAGnStein controller. Bannco is aware of this problem and is working on the fix now. The conflict appears to be with the new Sony Move Support. FRAGnStein users can expect a new FRAGnStein firmware upgrade as quick as it can be done. The PS3 is a dynamic system and from time to time updates are added that conflict with other hardware.

We are fortunate FRAGnStein is fully firmware upgradable and that product is backed by professionals that will work around the clock to get this sorted out for Bannco users. Never buy a third party controller that cannot be updated!Bannco. Alright Blowzy!! Hope you're ok mate and good to see you back! There's been more firmwares although I've kind of lost track of the history but you'll need to upgrade to the most recent firmware which was released yesterday if you want to play MW2. The latest Sony update knocked out the Fragnstein so Bannco fixed it in a firmware release. You'll probably find that you will have to uninstall the Fragnstein driver on your PC and install the new driver too together with the new config utility!!There's plenty of people here using the FnS now too so I'm sure others will chime in if I've missed anything.
